On 16 September 2025, AITEX participated in the Fashion.ED Final Conference: Textiles in Transition, held at the UPV Campus Alcoy in Spain in collaboration with GIITEX. The event marked the conclusion of the European project Fashion.ED, presenting its main results and awarding the winners of the Eco-Design Challenge, which promoted sustainable practices in textile design.
As part of the programme, Óscar Calvo (AITEX) presented the SUBBIMATT project, highlighting its contribution to sustainable and bio-inspired polyurethane coatings for technical textiles. The conference also featured presentations from other European initiatives and a startup, Fiber Palm, which introduced its innovative sustainable fiber model.
This participation represented a valuable opportunity to disseminate SUBBIMATT’s objectives within a broader European context of sustainable textiles, strengthening synergies with ongoing projects and industry stakeholders.
