On 13 October 2026, the SUBBIMATT project was presented at the workshop “How coatings support circularity of materials”, organised by Materia Nova in Mons, Belgium.
David De Smet from CENTEXBEL, partner of the SUBBIMATT consortium, took part in the workshop and presented some of the latest developments achieved within the project. During his presentation, David highlighted the work carried out in SUBBIMATT on the development of self-healing polyurethane (PU) materials, with particular attention to their potential recyclability and contribution to more circular material solutions.
The workshop brought together more than 50 participants from several European countries, mainly Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom. It provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore how innovative coating technologies can support material circularity and more sustainable industrial practices.
