ProtoQSAR actively contributed to the 1st SENTIATECH Congress: Detection, Measurement and Control of Emerging Risks, one of Europe’s key events focused on advancing innovative approaches for the early identification and management of emerging chemicals, contaminants, and pathogens, as well as the development of safer and more sustainable chemical products.

Representing ProtoQSAR, José Luis Vallés Pardo (Senior Researcher), Enrique Llobet Serra (PhD Student), and Marta Fons Page (Junior Researcher) presented several scientific contributions highlighting the company’s work in computational modelling for sustainable innovation.

During the event:

  • Enrique Llobet delivered a presentation titled “QSAR for Evaluating NMs Coatings (Eco)toxicity,” exploring the role of computational predictive tools in assessing the environmental and toxicological profile of nanomaterials.

  • José Luis Vallés presented the poster “SUBBIMATT Project: Sustainable, Biobased and Bio-Inspired Materials for Smart Technical Textiles,” showcasing SUBBIMATT’s goals and progress in developing innovative and recyclable technical textiles.

  • Marta Fons contributed with a poster and a talk titled “Integrating data-mining and QSAR tools in the SSbD assessment,” emphasising how advanced computational approaches can support the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework.

By participating in SENTIATECH, ProtoQSAR reinforced its commitment to responsible research and innovation, while highlighting the outcomes and ambitions of the SUBBIMATT project to an international audience of experts in chemistry, materials science, sustainability, and risk management.
